QuoteReplyTopic: What is a Pixie cut? Posted: September 30 2001 at 4:31am
Sorry to sound like an absolute idiot, but I`ve never actually read what you all meanby a pixie, could you all please tell me what you actually mean by a pixie? Pics would also be useful. Also, I`ve only ever heard of girls with pixies, is this a girl-only cut, or can guys (acceptably) get them too? Sorry to be a neusance and sound like an idiot.
It is a cut less then 3 inches in length all over the head, usually cut up to the ears. It is often worn with bangs. I dunno how it got its name but I think it`s from Audrey Hepburn, who pioneered the cut. Yes this can be worn by boys...most wear it already. Also called a "gamine" cut. Some examples of this cut are Sharon Stone, Halle Berry, Winona Ryder, Faith Hill.
