Hi, Last Thursday I tried scrunching my mid-back length hair with Pantene Curl Defining Scrunching Gel. I rubbed the product together in my hands, then put it in my hair, then I combed the product through my hair. Then I scrunched my hair with my hands. My hair was dry when I did this and I also mixed water with the product. After doing that I decided, I didn`t like how it look, it looked plastered to my head. Not a good look. I then washed my hair as normal. The product took the wave out of my wavy hair. It is just slightly wavy now.
What can I do to get my hair back to the way it was before I tried this product?
Did it do this becuse my hair was dry and not wet?
I now using Herbal Essences products. My hair is better now, but the wavy still isn`t the same as before I used the product.
This is response I got from pantene website:
I`m sorry you had a disappointing experience with Pantene Curl Defining Scrunching Gel. It`s certainly not what we`d expect. Once this is washed out of your hair, your hair should return to normal. I can`t explain why this happened but I`ll certainly share your report with the rest of our team.
I used that worthless junk. It didn`t take the wave out of my hair... But I had to go for student for a day at the catholic high school Im going to next yr so I think... What better a potential student than a curly haired girl wearing a loose bulky completely conservative sweater and loose dress pants. On me loose curls look quite preppy. I take showers at night because I am NOT a morning person and I, in all honesty, took gobs and mixed it with FX Curl Booster Spray after putting in the serum and scrunched. Applying huge amounts. Supposidly the gel is supposed to be almost good... Well I`ll admit that I overapplyed but I have overapplyed lots of things and what happened to me that time was much worse! Before I went to bed my slightly wavy hair was very wavy atthe top (its just below the shoulders) and went into these itsy biotsy spirals at the bottom only as big as a pencil. Whoopdi do for me, I didnt need to use curlers. So I go to sleep and wake up and looked in the mirror (the mirror still hasnt forgiven me) to see my horrid hair stickin up straight. So usually when my hhairs curly I can brush it out.... No. I couldnt get a boar bristle brush through my hair. It just got stuck at the top. I tried with a wide toothed comb to. That didnt work either. I ended up wearing a headband that looked like crap and throughout the day it got increasinly worse. The silicone stuff in it was all on my hair and it felt like synthetic hair and it crunched. I couldn;t get a comb through until after I washed it. It was so bad I couldnt even put it into a ponytail because it wouldnt stay down. Finally I wahsed it and dealt with it and it recovered... took a week tho. Now Im giving the stuff to my freind... Not because its bad just because I buy everything on the market and she never spends money on hair stuff (shes got it she just doesnt seem to ever wanna spend it) so I try products and when they dont work I pass em on. I`ll let u know her results if ya want. I gotta give it to her on monday.
