Could anyone tell me the lingo that hairstylists use. First what is a buzzed undercut? Secondly what do they do to get a buzzed nape? And what does highlighting include because I would like that done and I am going to the hair salon this weekend. Thank you so much for your help.

Good Questions.

1. what is a buzzed undercut? - OK, a buzzed undercut is when you buzz the back of your head (and sometimes sides depending on how daring you are) but the top remains longer. So, you really can`t tell it is buzzed unless you have your hair up.

2. what do they do to get a buzzed nape? - This is usually people that have short bobs. You know your hair that comes to a point right at your neck? Well, that is a nape. Some people have a shorter bob with a buzzed nape. Or even a pixie cut with hair buzzed shorter at that part of the neck line.

3. And what does highlighting include? - Highlighting is coloring basically the top of your hair. Most girls that get highlights just highlight the top part of their hair (the part you can visually see) and leave the under part the same color. There are many different ways to highlight and many different explanations for highlighting.

Hope that helps.

buzzzzz is the sound a clipper makes when your doing a short hair cut,or undercut. So a buzzed hair cut is a short cut using clippers.
