OKay background on this one... I`m have slimfast chake for breakfast every morning (I`m no where near over weight but it`s the fastest think I can make, and it`s CHOCOLATE... or so I tell myself) Anyway, I mesured my hair today (again...) and in six weeks my hair has grown and inch and a half. So I was thinking "an inch a month, no way..." so I went to my back up spot (I usually mesure from the middle of my forehead down, but this is a spot a little to the side where it was blaached and is growing back) and It measured and inch and three quarters! Needless to say I`m wondering whats making my hair grow fast. Nothing came to mind until I went to grab lunch and i see my can of powdered slimfast. I peer at the back and I see that it has almost every vitamine know to science. So, what say you? Slimfast helps or I`m just a little off today?

Hi there,

Your hair is genetically pre-determined to grow a certain length. If your health is good and your body is not lacking in any nutrients, then it will grow at its maximum! However, if you are lacking in nutrients, your hair growth may be inhibited.

If your hair is actually growing faster since you`ve been drinking extra vitamins, it may means you were deficient. Thus, any multi-vitamin supplement or just better nutrition would yield the same results.

Also, most hair actually does grow faster in the summer, which I`m guessing is what really happened. Mine has grown faster, too, and I LOVE it!

There are no "magic" formulas, though. If there were, I`d be taking them!

Jennifer

If you take a look back at that slimfast can you will notice that it contains two main ingredients that are also found in hair vitamins. B12 and Biotin. I use slim fast to lose 50lbs when I had my second child and a lot of people noticed at the time that my hair grew fast. I always joke and said that my hair didn`t grow fast but I had a fat head and now it had less to cover lol.
YOu might consider buying some hair vitamins in a health food store. pss ( can`t believe you enjoyed that taste) lol

if it weren`t for my slim fast i`d never eat breakfast. eating breakfast in the morning is always a good thing! it keeps you from being ravenous at lunch (and eating more than you should). you should eat (at least a snack) every four hours, that way your metabolism is higher and you burn more calories.
