OK heres my problem. I have had the same hairdo since about 4th grade (I`m in 8th grade now) and I need a change. My hair is straight as an arrow, naturally dark brown(no highlights, coloring, ect.) and 7 inches below my shoulders. Also, it`s all 1 length(no layers, angles, ect.) Please help because I am actually getting tired of looking at my hair in the mirror! Thank you and help me ASAP.
What are you looking for? A cut or color? Both? Maybe reddish highlights. If your hair is thick, maybe layers? I`m not sure of your face shape, skin tone, etc., and I`m not a stylist, so I don`t want to tell you the wrong thing. Just giving you some ideas :-)
i`ve had the same problem, i would sugest cutting an inch or 2 off depending on how much you wnat to take off and ask ur stylist to us a razor and cut your hair angled with jagged layers, i would also sugest either carmel, gold or blonde highlights, just my suggestion, hope everything turns out!
First off, no color - you are in eighth grade, your dark hair must have its own fanatastic highlights, however subtle. Take a deep breath, go to the stylist and ask for a cut, chin length with the bangs abd angled down your back to wher only an inch or so comes off. That way, you have your gorgeous length, Avril, and you have some neat shorter hair to play with when you look in the mirror. Good luck!

Okay, here's my take on this. Since you feel like a change, I would recommend a bob, if you don't mind losing a lot of length. You can always have it cut a bit at a time. I personally would recommend either a one-length bob (quite a few options - cut straight above the collar, chin-length which is cute, or if you want something sharper, a bit below your ears with maybe a little triangle sticking down at the back of your neck.) An angled bob could be sharp-looking too, but then it'll be harder to grow out. I would not recommend big bangs, but a few wisps could be a possibility.
As for changing the color or texture, I would not fancy this myself, not because "you're in the eighth grade" (I don't look at things this way, nuff said) but because I like it when people respect their natural selves, when they work with it, not against it. Highlights I find tend to break up the natural harmony of the hair color and dyeing/bleaching it one color (we have enough yellow blondes out there anyway) can just look phony, and not harmonize with skin color etc. A good cut is what I'd recommend. Tell us what you do.
