My hair is kind of long, the longest hairs reach to almost the middle of my back. It is layered. It is naturally wavy, but just the hair near the sides of my face. In the back, it's hardly wavy at all. It's even kind of curly near my face. Also, I've been told my hair is fine and overconditioned, whatever that means. All I know is that my hair is really frizzy. I hate to even attempt to do anything with it because it just sticks to everything - my face, my hands, the brush.

I have tried straightening it out by styling it with a round brush while drying it. I've also tried straightening it with a curling iron. Neither method ever straightens the hair. I am thinking about purchasing a steam straightener by ConAir. Would this work better?

I would really love to wear my hair down, but doing so is 1) unattractive because my hair is so messy and strange looking and 2) uncomfortable because my hair sticks to my face, my neck, my clothes, my car seats, gets in my eyes, etc. Are there any reasonably priced products I could buy that might help me out? Something to help with the frizz and to straighten my hair?

ANY advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

First of all, you need to get a cut and get it shorter to get rid of all your split ends and plus, it will look more healthier- preferably shoulder-length would do. Since your hair is fine and overconditioned, you shouldn''t use lots of products especially if they weigh your hair down. Here are some links that some people posted in Curly Hair Talk board.

Also, check out the Curly Hair Talk board because there are great advice posted.
