Ok as the subject says I am a male,16, and have always had short hairstyles for as long as I can remember now. I recently got glasses and they don't go with my current hairstyle which is fairly short and spikey. I was thinking about growing it out longer and also growing a goatee. Any ideas, suggestions, pics?

Maybe post a picture of yourself in the glasses, that might help. There are so many different frame styles around, no one haircut will go with all of thm, of course.

a pic would help to determine your style
well i think spikey looks is the generic look. anyone can carry it off. but if you want to keep it long it would be cool. i think you would be better off without the goatee. try the brylcreem.co.uk website. it has cool styles for men.

Long hair is key man...i been in the same place you are in but i dont have glasses thats the other thing. I had the same style...short on the sides and a little longer on top to style it down. I had this style for about 18 yrs...when i got into college i wanted to be diffrent and try something new...so let the hair grow out and other people did also. Some of them had long hair with glasses and to let you know...they didnt look dumb or funny. They actually had some good looking girls talking to them. P.I.M.P.

i had short spikes too. I've jsut started leaving it longer. longer of course is the only other option to go other than bald...but it's a lot more work. I didn't even know the difference between combing and brushing until I started leaving my hair.

anyways, leave it longer and ask your hair stylist for tips on why type of longer hair fits you.

NO GOATEE! I think goatees are so ugly for 18 and under. Makes you look weird. But you should grow it out. Just make sure that it doesn't get too long in the back or it will look weird.

I'll I have to say is No Goatie also, all the guys like 25- who had them look like goats (hence the name) and also being 16 you might wanna know, that creeps alot of girls your age out, including me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh My God! Long hair and glasses can be incredible!

My first boyfriend had long, shaggy, dark hair that was just below chin length in the front and to his shoulders in the back, and with his great big bluer-than-blue eyes he wore glasses, and I swear I have never seen a 16-year-old boy look quite so handsome as he did. He also had a goatee and sideburns.

Anyway, long hair and glasses can look absolutely amazing. Give long hair a try.
