Long or shorter? Guy

Hey i am a 15 yr old guy and have been growing my hair for a while, it has reached my ears and eyes almsot in the front, it is dirty blonde and pretty thick but mostly straight, but I noticed that I think I looked bettr when my hair was shorter. My style shorter was pretty cool it was kinda spiked but like it went everywhere too and looked nice and clean too.

I try to do it kinda like I used too but it has become too thick, the reason I wanted longer hair was because I could do it like I usually do but it hasnt been possible to do it lately.I told ppl i was gonna get a haircut and they said i looked cool with my hair longer. But they were jus 2 guys and it dont matter what they think. Also the color of my hair doesnt look as good anymore, i may get highlights put in if i don't cut it. I want to know what you girls think, which one is better. Kinda short n lookin nice n clean or longer and shaggyer. Also which one is more in style.

Shorter....that goes without saying.You should only let your hair grow long if you plan on having it braided (cornrows).

Longer!

Short spiky hair is gross to me, once it gets longer, it won't really need hard hold hair products. You'll look different as hair frames your face.

When I grew my hair out a little longer, people who met me years ago did not recognize me. I've gotten mixed reactions. An old friend saw me and she kept running her fingers through it and told me not to cut it. I was going to cut it that day too.
This other girl I knew, told me I looked like a pothead.

The main thing is to do you what you want. Not what others tell you to.

Oh and don't get highlights. That looks stupid on guys.

I agree with Captain Japonica. You should do what you want to do, and what is the easiest for you. I personally like both lengths on guys. My husband has short hair and I really like it, but our good friend has long hair, and it looks great on him. It really comes down to your personality.

Goodness, thanks Vineman for reminding me... I HATED that in-between phase with a passion. And I can't imagine how it must be for a guy who'd be given funny looks if he wore hair clips. I wore girly clips all the time when my hair got in my face (so annoying) but those hindered my growth. So I just let loose and waited it out. Oftentimes guys get healthier long hair in the end because they don't curl, perm, process, blow dry, etc... as often as the ladies do. Hats and bandanas work great and simple for keeping hair out of your way.
I agree that there are enough shorthaired guys to go around. It's the longhaired guys that our society needs... (my guy's started growing his hair out, for the umpteenth time.... he's a bartender so it'll get in his way at work...I hope he doesn't give up again, poor dear)
