I want to know if anyone knows how to do or can direct me to a site that knows how to do a 60s ish half pony tail that is teased so it makes sort of a bump before it goes into the rubber band? do you catch my drift?

Do you mean a Bridget Bardott style. She has that bump and a loose ponytail do.

Ellegirl did a piece on how-to's on retro hair like Bridget's or Marilyn's.

You need to put big waves where you want the bump to be and tease it until you get the volume you want.

Teasing hair was something I had just figured how to do. It involves careful backcombing.

Tie your half pony and the front fly around casually. Maybe a little wax or pomade or a piecey effect.

It's the sexist pony ever devised. 60's hair was big loose and liberating.
