hey! Question, question, quesiton! What is a messy bun? I have heard about them but I don't really know what they are or look like...any one got picture? or a really really good explaination...THANK YOU!
I think 'messy bun' describes what it is quite well. It's a bun made without using coils: just wrapping in a .. blob, then tying off with a scrunchie or hair tie. Keyword is "MESSY", and this style works best with lots of front-to-back layering.
Messy buns look cute and are the best that most people can manage nowadays.

As anais said - it looks good and i quite easy. But I think it's more of an intricate style than a blob - you get a pony, mess up the hair in it, so its all , well, messy. so you have strands tangled up slightly and overlapping each other and stuff.... then you put a band over it. (or 2). it is hard 2 xplain - ive jst looked on google images 4 u but i cant find any of wat a messy bun is.. hmm.
