QuoteReplyTopic: Any teens have short hair? Posted: November 19 2004 at 10:45am
OK I'm not exactly a teenager now (I'm 20) but I have really long hair and I'm looking for a short style. Most girls I know have long hair these days and although I'm definately going to get it cut to my shoulders, I'm thinking about something even shorter. I really want to go short, but because no-one seems to have short hair my age I was wondering if anyone on the boards here has short hair? I don't know if I will feel out of place if I go short.
If anyone wants to tell me about their hair or has any pics to help me choose then my e-mail is:
Members on the short hair board will have more suggestions for you.. The folks who frequent the short hair board have a whole trove of shorthair photos they can share.
hey thea. i am 16 and i have short hair..i used to have it long, but i got annoyed with it and cut it all off. u really need to look at ur face shape first. the big look at the mo IS short hair. its coming in here in aus. try something shaggy and textured. it looks good and is easy to take care of. but if u like to keep ur hair up, try something a little more evenly cut...i made the mistake of getting it cut short short, and only now am i able to put it in a pony. good luck. i suggest u visit ur hairdresser for tips. :)
Past teen-aged, but have had it short to one degree or another most of the time since the teen years. If you are annoyed with your hair or find yourself wearing it up all the time, anyway, have it cut really short, off the neck and ears, so it won't get in the way. It'll also play up your face well and give you an air of confidence. You can still play with scarves, hats, headbands, clippies, hairpins, gels, sprays, waxes, etc. so you won't get bored, even if your hair is very short. If you're nervous about going shorter, usually wear your hair down and don't think it's in the way, or still wanna be able to do little ponytails or pigtails, you can get a longer style, like some sort of bob, flippy style, longish shag, or whatever. You'll probably still be able to use most of your long-hair accessories that way, though you might have to be a little more creative about how you use them than you used to. If you're not sure what to do, go with the longest of the styles you're considering, and go shorter later, if and when you feel up to it. No pressure to do everything at once unless you want to.
More awesome than a manatee!

I have had my short hair for 2 years and going long isn't an option. You should go with your face shape and stuff but also you should go by personality. My personality fits my hair the way I style it too. Just think about that also.
Unique but Odd...
