Donetta,The big look this fall is a combination of textures. Since your hair is shoulder length... I strongly encourage you to continue to grow it even longer...but you may want to play with the new fringed look on your bangs. If you don't have bangs....get them...if you have bangs....redo them. There are so many great "fringe" or bang styles right now like the lightly textured look or the heavy textured look or even the asymetrical look. You can also play with highlights on the bangs or gels or the wet look to really draw attention to your eyes. For the rest of your hair....you may try a slight edge or wedge around the face which allows you to keep the length of the rest of your hair...but add angles or soft fringe to the sides of your face. Not too much though. Just a little. Then you can gel the fringe or even tip it with an accent color. For the back of your hair...curls are big. Anything goes. You can do a combination of a soft braid...leaving pieces of the rest of the hair out and then curl them into wild wisps.Or you can pull all of your hair up on your head and then pin them into big soft fat shiny curls.Hope this helps. If you want more ideas.....let me know.Good luck.Karen (LHV)

Donettab,There is a great style like the one I mentioned in Hair Flair magazine. It is a British magazine about hair. The July/August 97 issue had a wonderful style on page 4 titled The Gilded Cage and shows 3 photos of a lady with the multitextured look. She has some braids and some crimps and a little of everything. Very nice.No....I don't think hair thickeners work per se. The Aveda Confixer will however help somewhat...especially if you blow dry your hair upside down.Best wishesKaren
