For those of you who have long hair, I was wondering how longdid it take for you to grow it to that lenghth? :-) I don`t have long hair curently but i want it back!
This is somewhat difficult to answer, as I have always had long hair, but I trim and cut a little more than I should. I prefer my ends blunt cut straight across.
I would say that for most women, five years is a good number to obtain length one would consider long. Now keep in mind that for some ladies, long hair is not in their genetic make-up, and for others it grows very quickly.
I`ve cut my hair many times over the years. I sat on it in 1983, cut it shoulder length in 84, cut seven inches off in 1992, six more inches in 1996. I quit cutting my bangs in 1996, and other than frequent trims, they (my bangs, just a few inches on the side...) are now three feet long. They were at the top of my eyebrows. So five years it took me to get my bangs three feet long with proper trims.
The rest of my hair is four feet long, so that is why I keep cutting it all of the time. My ultimate goal is to have all the same length.
I don`t wear my hair completely down in public because I think the different lengths look funny on me, so I wear the bangs pulled back in barrettes.
Hope this helps.
