Hi,Here is how I do it.1. Wash, condition and towel dry your hair. 2. Add some setting gel like Aveda's Confixer or Aloe gel. 3. Apply a heat protection leave in conditioner like Aveda's Elixer. 4. Blow dry your hair on the coldest setting upside down to give hair fullness and volume and shine. 5. When your hair is completely dry, brush it into a firm...but not too tight (don't want to damage your hair or scalp in the process) ponytail that is in the middle of your head and slightly to the side.Note: You don't want to pull the ponytail too far up or down or else you will have problems with the rolling.6. Don't secure the ponytail. Hold it closed with your right hand with the hair between the hollow of your thumb and 2nd & 3rd fingers. 7. With your other hand take the tail of the ponytail and fold it under in a big loop and fold it under the last three fingers of the hand holding the ponytail. 8. When you have all of the tail of the ponytail gathered into a big loop against your scalp, take the hair and start "rolling" it until all of the hair is tightly rolled snug against the head in a long twist. 9. Make sure all of the hair in the twist is tucked neatly in and then pin the twist in place. If you hide the pins you have a French twist. If you pin the hair pins in a row along the "seam" where the twist is against the head...you have a French seam. This takes a little practice, but you should be able to do this fairly easily after a few tries. There are a few hair devices available that you can buy at any local beauty supply store. One is the Twist n Twirl which costs from $5.95 - 7.95 and allows you to easily pop a French twist into your hair using a colored plastic/rubber device. Unfortunately Twist n Twirl does not work for hair much longer than bra length or if it is really thick (like my hair).Also....Goody makes Chignon Pins that are mahoney brown and sold at the grocery stores for a few dollars. It has instructions on how to use the pins to attach the French twist.Last but not least..if you have time....one of our books has detailed steps and instructions on creating a French twist.> Please, someone explain to me how to do a> french twist A.S.A.PRelated Link:Twists & Braids Made Easy
