What do you think about men with long hair? When is hair too long for a man? Would you encourage neatly styled hair if a man wanted long hair, or do you think that is too feminine for him? What kinds of hairstyles would you like to see men wear?Related Link:Men's Long Hair Site

Richard,I personally love it when men have long hair. Jeff, the co-webmaster of this Hair Boutique site has fantastic long hair and it looks really great on him. Check out the URL below and go to the bottom of the section (after my photos). There you can see Jeff's hair pictures from just about 1 month ago.Hair is never too long on a man..in my opinion. Never, ever. I will always encourage any man to grow his hair long.Neatly styled means what? I think men with long hair look great in ponytails, braids or loose and long. I think they need to take good care of it though. Jeff is fanatic about his long hair...just like me. He has been using Aveda products for 6 years and gets his hair regularly trimmed. He uses a Efalock pick, Battalia brush and never a blow dryer. As a result....great and healthy hair.Good questions Richard. Thanks for the topic.Karen> What do you think about men with long hair?> When is hair too long for a man? > A big me too on this one Karen!! Yes, Richard, long hair on men is absolutely fabulous and there is no such thing as too long on anyone in my opinion. Pulled back or braided is a fine way to create a bit more discreet look. Too feminine? Have a look at Jeff's pics, I don't think a guy like that could ever be defined as feminine no matter how he wore his hair!
I thank both you and Dawn for your comments.> Neatly styled means what? I think men with> long hair look great in ponytails, braids or loose> and long. Also, it means using cuts or trims, color, and/or styles (like ponytails, braids, etc.), to style hair; and not just let hair grow with no regard to asymmetric, ratty, split ends.

Richard,I agree with Karen and Dawn. Long hair, if kept neat and clean, looks great on either men or women. My hair is now about mid-back length and I get compliments from both women and men.As for the masculine thing. When I was a kid (in the 60's) my dad made fun of my brother's long hair. He was one of the original hippies. My dad thought it was "unmanly" for a man to have long hair. I pointed out that men such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson had long hair. In fact, many of the great men in history have had long hair. It's only in the most recent century that men have felt the need to conform to a short hair pattern. I think part of the reason is the fast paced society we've created that makes people go to shorter styles to save time. Good looking long hair takes more time, but I think it's worth it for the beauty it brings to the world.-John
Wow! Jeff does have very nice long hair. My compliments to you, Jeff. I hope you are feeling better, too. :o)I think men look very nice with well-kept long hair. I have seen some very nice pictures of gentlemen with long hair at The Men's Long Hair Site. I also have a few male friends who have hair so nice, I would be happy to have it myself! And facial hair! Oh, I'd best not go off into that one!Valentine :o)

I like men with long hair as long as it's well cared for. A lot of guys just let their hair grow and let it get split ends, and all ratty and sometimes even dirty and greasy. YUCK! But healthy, well-groomed hair is beautiful on anyone, man, woman or child of any age.-jj
