Is this because of graying possibly? I know my gray is much more wiry than my natural color hair. I use Curessence conditioner and find it softens my gray alot. One good thing is as the gray grows longer, the weight pulls down the wiry effect. But it is still more porus than the natural. So, I find more deep conditioning sure helps alot. I am 39 and for my age I have lots of silver on the front and sides of my head ..it requires different methods of taking care of it. Best wishes.. Cher,Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I do have a lot of gray popping in. I am going to buy Curessence as you suggested. Any ideas on how long to leave it on my hair? Do you leave it on only in the shower?ThanksJane> Is this because of graying possibly? I know> my gray is much more wiry than my natural color> hair. I use the Curessence as a deep conditioner and as an instant conditioner. What I mean by this is, when I want to deep condition, I leave it on for anywhere from a half an hour to most of the day. I put a plastic cap on my head and run around the house doing the housework while it works. If I am in a hurry, I leave it on for about 5-10 minutes. I have heard of people leaving some of it in the hair but I haven't tried that. Have you Karen? I use the Curessence styling spray as a leave in conditioner. I also use Aveda's Shampure shampoo. I am thoroughly satisfied with the Aveda line. Also, I must stress that the longer I use it the better the results. By this I mean, I have been using it for a couple of months now and I feel my hair is just getting better as time goes by. It does a marvelous job of softening down my silver. I have coarse hair naturally, so my gray needs to be babied. I rub the Curessence all through the front and sides of my hair where my silver is and really soak it in those areas. Then work it down the length of my hair, I finish with rubbing some extra on my ends. I do use alot of it, I go through a bottle about once a month. I am not stingy with it at all! I don't mean to sound like a commercial but after going through water damage with my hair and a few other nightmares (coloring that didn't wash out!) I am very happy with the results of the Aveda products. I usually acquire build up after just a few weeks of using products I have tried before. I would have to switch around continually, even with the higher priced products..I think Biolage was one I could use more frequently. With Aveda..I haven't run into that problem yet. Everyone is different but for me, Aveda works wonderfully..hope you find the same results. When you have coarse hair that's graying hair, it needs to be conditioned much more often. How long is your hair, by the way? Good luck.. Cher> Cher,> Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I do have> a lot of gray popping in. I am going to buy Curessence> as you suggested.
