I really LOVE the new curly looks that Halle Berry and Janet Jackson are sporting! I was wondering if anyone knew their hair care routines and what products they used. If either of them are wearing weaved pieces, what was the application technique? My hair is of similar texture and I want to imitate these looks if possible. Thanks a bunch.Marsha :-)

I think that Janet's hair is a weave....albeit a nice one, it's a weave. I think so because when her hair is orn straight it it very long and has many layers in it. Her curly counterpart it a nicely coiffed rounded neck length bob. Realistic...I think not;Tammy

Dear Marsha,I believe that Halle Berry's look is her hair in its natural state. However, because she probably has makeup and hairdressers working with her because of publicity photos, they may enhance some of her curls mechanically. I am African-American with extremely thick, very curly/kinky hair. I can tell you of a product called "Perm for a day" rods to curl your hair in a spiral (if that's what you're looking for). It is NOT a chemical process! They are curling rods which are U-shaped and they can give your that very naturally curly, spiral curl. As for the types of products that Halle and Janet use, I would assume that they keep their hair together with moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. And just as Tammy mentioned in her response, Janet's hair style is enhanced with a weave. My natural hair is very similar to hers when I set it on the "Perm for a day" rods. The rods are available in stores such as Wal-mart, K-mart, Walgreens, Thrifty, Revco, and other discount drug stores. You may also find them in the jewelry boutiques found in your local mall. Hope I've been of some help.Sincerely, Leilani
