OK, so it's not really BAD per se... but I'm really getting annoyed with my hair right now. It's at that phase where it doesn't really ever look like it's growing any longer... it just gets thicker and thicker. I know it actually IS growing because it's longer when it's wet, but all the length seems to get absorbed into the thickness when it drys. :-P Yuck.Ever just go through one of those times when you're just sick of your hair?-jennifer

I absolutely understand.. I am very annoyed with my hair these days. Even tho the condition is much better, I am having to deal with growing out layers and color. I get so upset with myself thinking I actually went into a salon in February and "asked" for layers. I must have been insane. Some days I get up and just tell myself to go and get it cut even but that would take off about half the length I have grown out. Then where I had some water damage, those pieces of hair are to my ear lobes. Even if I cut the layers off, I have those pieces of hair coming down behind them. I also am thinking of letting some of the front grow out...I want to change the looks of the bangs. NOw, I am talking about even more growing out.. So, why bother? Soon, I will be writing my story about all I have gone through with my hair.. then maybe you won't feel so bad about yours!! cher> OK, so it's not really BAD per se... but> I'm really getting annoyed with my hair right> now. It's getting longer, and I can tell when I measure it, but it feels like it's just staying the same length! There are lots of times when I just hate my hair and want to cut it short, especially in the summer. It's so humid here (in Indiana) this summer, and my hair never seems to quite want to dry completely! It tangles much more easily when it's humid, too.I have a few ways of dealing with this. When I'm really frustrated, I do a deep conditioning treatment, either with jojoba oil or Aveda's Curessence or sometimes a little of each. Sometimes I spray it all lightly with Aveda's Styling Curessence, brush it through, and braid it or try some other style that gets it off my neck. Sometimes I just wash it, because it's much cooler wet than dry!Laura Jane lswanson@sunflower.bio.indiana.edu
