My hair is naturally jet black and I long for dark blonde hair . Kind of like Daisy Fuentes hair . I tried it with loreal blondissma and I left it in for two hours and it turned my hair an auburny blonde colour. I already had a few big chunky streaks of blonde framing my face and those turned a nice blond colour but the rest were outrageous! I want to get it professionally done but its too much money. I also need help with conditioning my hair! It's all dried out now!

Hi Kate,You are not going to like what I have to say about what to do with your hair because it is not what you want to do. To go from jet black hair to Daisy Fuentes hair, your only real choice is to do a process that requires you to first remove all the color from your hair and then apply color black. So you bleach and then apply color. It is known as a 2 step process and in the best of circumstances with the best of colorists, it is tricky. Color and bleach and highlighting is one of the most difficult things that a stylist has to learn because the principles of color are very complicated.Since you have already done your hair with L'oreal permanent color, you have already used chemicals on the hair shaft and that is why your hair is dry and damaged. If you had your hair analyzed under a microscope you would see that the little fish like scales have been chemically altered. One step permanent color like the product you used is not designed to take hair to the level of blonde you wanted to get to. That is why your hair turned red. That was the lightest it could go with a 1 step process. If you can not afford a colorist, then you need to consider other options because if you do any other chemical process on your hair while it is still weakened from your L'Oreal application, there is a strong danger that your hair will become so damaged that it could become stretchy or could snap off at the roots. Certainly you will have even more damage on your hands. Here is what I recommend. Go to a professional colorist and watch everything they do. Ask what product they are using and why. Ask the strength of the product. Then watch to see if they use a cap or foils or some other method. Then you can duplicate the process at home after the first professional application. You can not get the same quality of hair color products at retail outlets that you can at the salons. However, you will understand what you need to do and how to do it.For now....go buy a Temporary color like Clairol's Natural Instincts with will only last through up to 20 shampoos. Buy a shade that is a darker shade to avoid the possibility of having orange hair.An even better idea is to call the L'Oreal 800 number on the box. L'Oreal has color experts on standby to help you. Tell them what you did and ask them for advice on what temporary color to use to fix it.You want a temporary or vegetable color because it will not harm your currently chemically damaged hair. It will only coat it and help you to recover from the color you currently want to get rid of.Best wishes,Karen> My hair is naturally jet black and I long> for dark blonde hair . That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

Kate,Sorry to hear of your bleach problems. I have just one thing to say...listen to Karen's advice and consider it because this lady knows of what she speaks. She helped me recover from a bad perm. So I know she knows what she is talking about.Good luck.Angela> Hi Kate,> You are not going to like what I have to> say about what to do with your hair because it> is not what you want to do.
