Jill, I am getting a bodywave on Wed. 7-15-98. I also have fine hair and live in the very hot tx weather. I am also letting my hair grow long again to all one length and to the middle of my back. I had it like this a few years ago and loved it. You just have to take good care of your hair and condition a lot!!!! I find that a "bodywave" is great. My hairdresser told me that she is going to use a gentle formula and condition it too, since I color my hair as well. I will try and write you Wed. after I get my bodywave and let you know how I like it. I have had bodywaves all my life and really like them because this is the only way to get my hair to have any body. Talk to you Wed., Jenn H.

Thanks so> much!!!!> jill Jill, Well, I got my bodywave yesterday. I forgot how bad one is for the first couple of weeks. Meaning, it just takes a while to settle, so you can figure out how you can wear it. I really do like it though! I just have to get past this stage. Anyway, to answer your question, it depends on tthe size of the rollers that you use to get the size of the curl you want. If you use a small rod, you will get tight small curls. If you use a large rod, you will get a loose large curl. My hairdresser used the black rollers which are pretty big. My hair has a soft loose curl to it. I want to wait til my hair gets longer before I get a perm with more curls (using the small rods). For now, I wanted to be able to wear my hair curly or straight. That is why I used the large rods for my perm. I wouldn't say my hair is "kinky" it is more with loose curls. If you want your hair to look kinky, get your hairdresser to roll your rods horizontal. If you want a spiral perm, roll your rods vertically. I hope I was able to help in some way. Are you going to get a bodywave soon? Let me know how you like it if you do?
