Science behind curly hair?

Answers/suggestions?Actually....It's the shape of the hair follice that determines the straightness/curliness of your hair. In people with wavy hair, the follicle is oval. For people with curly hair, it's flat; and in people with straight hair, it's round. The main reason why curly hair is drier than straight hair is because the oils don't completely get to the ends as easy as with straight hair. Coarseness of the hair is determined by the diameter of the hair strand. The bigger the diameter, the coarser the hair texture. I have extremely curly hair that is medium to fine in texture.
