QuoteReplyTopic: Hair coloring recommendations! Posted: January 12 2000 at 2:16am
Hi! Has anyone ever heard of this- someone recommended to me that to get the hair color I want (a very pale blonde)I should first bleach my hair, shampoo out the bleach, and then add the toner (mixed with peroxide of course) on WET HAIR. Has anyone ever heard of this? I have never heard of putting toner on wet hair!!! What does putting toner on wet hair do? Please give me some answers I am so confused about this!

The only product I've heard of putting on wet hair is Wella Color Touch. You may want to check with a professional colorist on that one. If you are interested in going much lighter than your natural color you usually would bleach first then apply color on your dry hair. Keep in mind that bleach will damage your hair! If your hair is darker than a dark blond to light brown you may want to rethink the pale blond. Like I said before, your safest bet is to go to a profesional colorist, I am in school and you would be amazed at how many people come in and want me to fix their orange hair!:(
