zulu knots

Nadia,To make Zulu knots you dampen the hair lightly, section it into 2-3 inch sections (if you plan to take it down for a spiral look don't make perfectly parted sections), twist the section until it buckles in on itself, then secure it with a bobby pin or clip. You can make them look neater by twisting the bottom inch to two inches and then taking the rest of the hair and as you are twisting it wrap it around the base in a spiral. You can wear them out for a contemporary look or take them down for a fuzzy spirally look (ps your best bet is to play around till you find the version that works for you).I dont know if the girl you're refering to wears them but i know they were really big on the runways the past few seasons.Angel O:)> I saw a discussion about them recently but> i did not see instructions on how to make them.> Also, does the black radio announcer on Fifth> Element have zulu knots?> Nadia
