Thank you for informing this person of this. I was getting confused. I didn't know if this was a hair help line or what. anyway, i have a few questions, my hair is long about just above my waist and i've been thinking of cutting it however, my concerns are:1) I'm a slender tall female about 6' will short make me look taller that i don't need.2) My hair is curly and fizzes easy, I don't want my hair to get kinky. My sister-in-law cut her hair and it was like mine now however it is now kinky curly. Please help me with problem i'm having. Also, i've colored my hair lots of times and a couple of times stripped the color, should i stop coloring my hair? does it make a difference? Please help and give me your great advice!!!Sincerely, lost in all my hair

Hi,Sorry for the confusion. Yes...Hair Talk is for talking about hair care, hair styling, hair problems, hair related topics. It is also to be used for advice and postings to help others with hair questions or problems. Here is the deal with cutting hair that is naturally curly or kinky. When hair is longer, it tends to weigh down any waves, kinks or curls. When it is cut the weight of the hair decreases and the result can be a major increase in curls and kinks. So if you decide you want to cut your hair shorter, be aware of the fact that you may "kick up" more kinks by reducing the weight of your overall hair.As far as the coloring...what condition is your hair? Is it dry or damaged or in good shape? If your hair is really dry, you may want to slow down or stop your coloring cycles for awhile to give your hair a chance to "breathe" and be remoisturized. You can do that by doing some really intense conditioning treatments.Ultimately only you or your hairstylist can determine what shape your hair is in from the repeated coloring and then determine whether to take a breather or not.You can tell hair is damaged if it splits or is excessively dry or is "stretchy".Hope that helps.Let us know what you decide to do.Best wishes,Karen> Thank you for informing this person of this.
