QuoteReplyTopic: Hair's movement Posted: January 12 2000 at 2:36am
Hi AllI have fine, dry hair , but some time back it lost its flexibility and became curly. I mean, hair there's no movement ...if you lift it won't come down if I don't use my hands. I've never made perms or chemical treatments. I've spent a lot of money with shampoos, conditioners and so, but never could get "that movement" back. What makes hair's movement ? My hair seems too light , I'd like to put some weight on it .Any Ideas ???Thankin' in advanceSimone HegnerHegner@infolink.com.br

Hi Simone, I have the same type of hair that you do. First of all your hair probably needs lots of moisture right now. Stay away from all products labeled "for fine hair." These are great if your hair is fine and short, because they give you volume, but if your hair is fine and long, it just makes it puffy. Also, don't use any products for "volumizing" or "body". Use products for "Moisturizing" and "Smoothing" These usually have ingredients to smooth, re-moisturize and give some weight to your hair. Stay with acidic finishing rinses, you don't want to use anything that will open the cuticle or increase its dimension. Volumizing/alkaline products do this. Consider using a leave-in conditioner after you towel dry, and consider applying a straightening balm and then gently blowing it straight. My hair has lots of movement and swing when I blow it straight because all of the hairs are smooth and laying flat. Good luck!
Hi Gigi,Thanks for your reply ( I thought no one would response).I will follow your tips and yes you're right when yousay it needs moisture but I forgot to say that it's SHORT.Anyway I'm very thankful for your attention.Best regards.

Hmmm...How short is it? Like, chin length bob short or very short crop short? If it is an all one length bob type of thing, the blow-drying straight still applies. If it is a short, short crop then what you need is probably a stiff-ish gel or waxy finishing product.
