Dawn.. Just a few questions. I remember in one of our emails your mentioning that you use a few of these elastic ties at a time? Do you take the Amber ones and put the largest at the top and work down in size or what? My braid isn't long enough for that yet.. my hair being only 16 1/2" long at present. I would love to know what you do with these on a regular basis with your super long hair. Right now I am just frenchbraiding it and using one on the end. Today I used an amber one. I do love the blue too.. Do you plan on making anymore colors? Cher~

Hey Cher,Yes, I usually put about six ties in the length of my hair. I got off my butt and put my insecurities aside and sent Karen some new hair pics, one of which has a bunch of the sapphire ties in. I took more new photos too with some hairsticks and amber and other stuff and I'll send those soon I promise. And yes, I like to start with the big one at the base of my ponytail or braid and move down the hair to the smaller ones. You could use the big one at the base of your ponytail and a smaller one at the bottom of your braid too. Another great look is to make a kind of French braid with the ties. Gather hair just like you're starting a French braid and insert a tie. Then move down a bit and do the same thing, then finish with the third around the neckline. I often do this in the summer when I need a really tight hold but don't have time to fool with a French braid. Keeps the hair nice and corralled just like a French braid, no fussing with it, super easy to do and you get to wear all three ties which can look nicely dramatic. (I'll bet both the colors you chose look fantastic in your dark hair huh?) You might want to go backwards with this, using the smallest tie at the top on down to the big one at the base of your neck. I also often take a small tie and grab a nice chunk of hair on the side and use it sort of like a barrette to make a soft scoop there, only the nice thing is it will stay in all day and doesn't slide down.Oh and yes, I have a million new ideas, lovely cloisonne ties in gold and pink, and the most incredible green and red serpentines carved with intricate Chinese longevity and prosperity symbols to name just two. Stay tuned!I'm so pleased you're having fun with this!Very best wishes to all!Dawn

Hi Cher,I will be posting Dawn's new photos this week. By the way, I have a set of the Cloisonne hair ties that Dawn mentions with the brown and black elastic and I have to tell you that they are my favorites to date. I love them to much and I have been wearing them almost everyday in my hair.We also have some gorgeous new cloisonne hair sticks that I love. I have to tell you that the ties are so cool. This is not a paid advertisement either. :-)We will try and get these new items added in the next week.Jeff and I are in the process of moving the site to a new, bigger, better domain and this is sucking up a lot of our time. Stay tuned.Glad you are enjoying the new jewelry.Karen> Hey Cher,> Yes, I usually put about six ties in the length of my> hair. Never was I so eager to run out and get the bills, hoping Dawn's package was tucked in beside them. Or before Jeff's post on the mailing info, I was quite irritated each time the UPS truck went down someone elses' driveway!! Now you drop all of this at one time in my lap.. new hairstuff, new pics of Dawn, new domain. How much do you think we can stand at once Karen? ;-) Insomina does wonders for you..!! Cher~
