Hair color

Can you ask a colorist to use a specific color product, even if its from a line that is not usually used in that salon? Or perm,too, for that matter? Its been a long time since I have done any processes like that, but the salon always picked the products they used on my hair. But then, I was knowledgeable like I am now. Karen, can you tell me a little about the Matrix Color you use?Thanks,Clare
