Like i said below, i'll be graduating from school in DEC and am trying to collect advice so my transition from student to stylist will be a smooth one. I was wondering how i should go about finding a salon thats right for me? If you had to do it all over again how would you go about building your career from day one? any and all advice is much appreciated!-def

def,Does the school that you are attending offer career placementand the related counseling? If so, perhaps they can help you choose a salon that's "right"for you. How do you define what's "right" for you?If not, perhaps you can make arrangements to speak with varioussalon owners and managers in your area and talk with them aboutstarting your career.I hope this helps. Good luck,Dave

Hello ,Doesn't your school talk about that important issue?I only have one advice for you . Go and work for the best stylist in your area. Do what you have to do to convince he or she that you are committed to the industry. Learn from the best to become the best. If you were to interview many successful business people they will tell you that they learned from the best. Set your goals and make sure that you meet them. Successful people have many goals. They know where they are going in life. Follow that path. Go and sell yourself as an honest, hard working person that believe in making a positive diffirence in the industry . Go do it and don't just sit there to think about it. That is my pep talk.> Like i said below, i'll be graduating from school in> DEC and am trying to collect advice so my transition> from student to stylist will be a smooth one.
