I decided to go to a salon...and its today!!!!

Whew! What a relief. Its quite glam! My appointment was at 10:30 but prior to my date with destiny, I swooped in and bought a gigantic mocha frappucino. A girl just can't face a hair adventure without the 3 essentials, Chocolate, sugar, and caffeine flowing through her bloodstream. I was at the salon until 1:30. My stylist used Framesi permanent color, half in a golden brown, and half in a more ash-y brown. She did this because my hair has so much red anyway, she was afraid that it might come up more auburn than golden (the target color). That was weird because when the color was done, my whole head was all one shade. A nice color, sort of a light golden brown, but very stark. Then she started foiling me. She put big chunky pale golden highlights mostly in front, with a few on the sides for balance. I asked her to put a few underneath in the back so that when I put my hair up I would get a streak-y look. I am thrilled with the results. I have been happily doing it myself for ages, but she really did a great job, and did much better highlights (more dramatic) that I would ever have the nerve to do by myself. I also think that the salon permanent color gave better penetration than my usual color-in-a-box. I don't know what the technical term is but my hair seems more color saturated. So there you go, a happy ending to Gigi's big hair adventure and a $20 tip for my wonderful stylist! Now, I just hope we can maintain it! Stay tuned...
