Can someone tell me what steps I need to take to treat my chemically over processed hair. I have below the shoulder length hair that I perm and use a semi- permnent rinse. For the last two years I have noticed breakage around the hairline just in the facial area. I switched to a no lye relaxer but this did nothing to relax my coarse hair. Instead I ended up relaxing it twice as often. If at all possible I would like to maintain the coloring process. Any advice?

You need to quit relaxing your hairline for a bit. I have had this problem also. I use a headband at night to keep my hairline in shape. I just put a creme hairdress or Infusium 23 on the hairline and put the headband over it. Also, I quit blowdrying that area until it grew out. I would put the band around my head before blowdrying so that my hair would straighten "naturally". HTHMelanie
