QuoteReplyTopic: How much Jojoba oil should I apply? Posted: January 12 2000 at 3:05am
Hi,I am awaiting a shipment of Jojoba oil in a 4 oz bottle. I really want to get my money's worth. How much should I apply to my medium-length hair? I am of African descent and I have medium textured kinky hair. Thanks,Juka :o)
> Juka :o)Juka, I have no experience with kinky hair, but I can't see how the hair can be terribly different as far as using jojoba.I'll just tell you what I do to my waist-plus length, medium thickness, medium-brown, barely-wavy hair:After I wash, I take the jojoba and put a little ... like a puddle smaller than a dime, or maybe 8-10 drops or more ... in my palm, rub it on both palms and coat the last 3-4 inches of my hair with it. If I rub real gently awhile, eventually more gets on my hair than is on my palms. So if your hair really stands up, even after being washed (see, I told you I don't know about kinky hair!), you may need to coat your fingertips and grab your hair ends with your fingers to get all the ends. It feels really good on both hair and hands, esp. any nasty dry spots on the hands. Good treatment! And heck, Juka, you aren't going to do any harm to your hair with this. If you happen to get too much on, rewash. If you get so little on that you can't feel it's there, maybe use some more. And maybe someone with experience will also respond! Hey!Good luck,RunningWild
