My hair has a body perm and I straighten it every night, it takes me 2 hours! I know you can have your hair straightened but I was wondering if I could do this by myslef without having to go to the salon?

I am unclear :why do you straighten it every night when you got a body perm (at a salon?) in the first place? Would you like straight hair permanently?

Brookie,Unlike you, I have naturally curly hair (like Julia Roberts), and I have used both salon and at home relaxers on my hair. The at home one that I have tried is called "Curl Free" and the in-salon ones were Rusk Radical Anti-Curl and Paul Brown relaxer. Unfortunately for me, none of these products made my hair straight, they only relaxed the curl slightly. HOWEVER, I have recently read some articles on these "new" relaxers and the manufacturers of the products originally had in mind helping people get rid of old perms. Thinking back on this, I now remember my stylist telling me almost three years ago (while I was being a tester for the Rusk Anti-Curl) that the product has had wonderful results on old perms. This may indeed be a very good option for you. See a Regis Hairstylist! G-luck!

Can someone answer this complicated problem? My hair is naturally curly- very tight spirals- and alsoit's quite coarse. To straighten it, I blow dry with a round brush. The problem is, this makes my hair very dry and, obviously frizzy.I have tried numerous special conditioners, anti-frizz products and other products that claim to lock in moisture or make hair soft and smooth looking- but they only make a little difference in my hair's texture. Can anyone recommend something for my hair type?P.S. It can't be something you apply to dry hair because I've tried these and they cause my hair to go curly since it is then dampened!!!Thanks in advance,Sara
