I have tried a lot of stuff to make my hair hold curl and it just will not hold!! I curl it under in the morning and by the afternoon all the curl is gone. The stuff is fliping everywhere!
Have you tried a good setting gel and then spraying the hair with an "extra hold" hairspray? I don't know how long or heavy your hair is or what kind of climate you live in, or even how tight a curl you want your hair to hold, but try some of the "extra hold" products and see what they do for you. When you write "the stuff is flipping everywhere" it makes me think either you've got long hair (if so, good for you!) or you're not using hairspray (or the RIGHT hairspray). Don't forget hairspray touch-ups throughout the day. That will help, too! Good luck!> I have tried a lot of stuff to make my hair hold curl> and it just will not hold!! Depending on the texture of your hair, almost all hair Except baby fine hair will respond to "taking" of a soft wave. It will add a lot of styling options to your "flat" hair. Try to find a salon that is very expierenced in doing long hair and have it done on "orange straight rods in a piggyback fashion". I have done many perms in this fashion using Redkens Vector Plus perm with excellent results. William

The> stuff is fliping everywhere!if it's flipping, it must be holding some curl, but just not staying under. Suppose the right cut may remedy that. If it goes stick straingt shortly after curling, one of the most effective curling aids I have encountered is "Swing" by sensience. Very different in how it is used. Section at a time, spray on dry hair then comb thru. Curl with hot iron and it stays like a rock. After all done, shake into place or just don't brush it out. It's ideal for doing spiral curls , but would also probably hold your turned under look in place. In that case, just spray the Swing on the ends where you turn it under.
