My hair problem is, I hate curling my hair. It's super straight and silky and is a pain to curl with a curling iron. when I use a curling iron my hair doesn't even get curly, instead it gets tangled. I want a natural kind of curly look. I've tried gels, and tried to curl it with my fingers, but it doesn't work. So do you know a gel or mousse that works great in making curls out of super straight hair?
I don't know if this will work for you since my hair has a slight wave and is color treated (colored or lightened hair will curl much easier and will last longer that virgin hair - this is my experience). But I would wet your hair, put a good holding gel and then roll them up in those soft, spongy rollers. When you wake up, hopefully your hair will have retained the curl and then spray it with a superhold hairspray. But I swear, haircoloring can really help hair hold curls better.
if you want to curl your hair, you're going to have to use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the oil on your hair and it will also help open the cuticle, which also helps. then apply a generous amount of joico's ICE gel to your hair and work it through evenly. then blow dry until it's almost dry, and roll in hot rollers. and twist your strands before you roll them up. after you twist the strand, hold hair out with one hand and with the other place the hot roller next to your head. roll up the twisted strand of hair from the bottom out to the ends and then tuck in ends. clip down, go to the next one.i have very very straight hair but i can get a pretty beautiful set of natural looking curls this way.be well, natalieMy hair problem is, I hate curling my hair. Dear Kamiong:What I am about to say may not be what you want to hear, butwhy not showcase the hair that God gave you instead of trying to make it into something it is not.......you risk damaging it..........if you wish to discuss ways to maximize your own hair, feel free to e-mail me.......a beautiful straight satiny mane is nothing to be ashamed ofand can be very alluring........Dennis>
