Did your hair texture changed?

I am seriously thinking that my hair texture changed as my hair grew longer. I always had this very fine hair near my neck and I think that this fine long hair has fixed more with the thick hair and makes my hair more difficult to deal with. I find that my hair tangles a lot more than it did ten years ago. I find that it tends to be more oily and I always had very dry hair. I normally wash my hair everyday because I love fresh hair and totally hate dirty hair but now I find that I seriously need to wash it everyday or I can`t stand the oilyness.
