For those of you that regularly use this conditioner, could you please tell me if you use it everyday, and if so, what type of hair you have? I have used every other Aveda conditioner without success and thought I might try this. I was told that it would be too heavy for everyday use, but these days, I'm needing a heavier conditioner(even on my fine hair) for everyday use. Thanks!Kara
Hi. I've been using this on many different heads for as long as they've made it. It is intended mostly for "highly textured hair"ie curly or corse. Don't let that discourage you from trying it. The trick to using it is to take a very little and imulsify it in your hands very well before applying it. Deep Penatrating makes the hair nice and smooth instead of sticky like the Cherry Almond Bark. It is especially good for any hair that has a rough cuticle surface, like color treated hair.

Paula hit the nail on the head. I have naturally wavy hair that is highlighted (color treated) and it has a little curl thrown in at the ends. Definitely coarse.I use the Deep Penetrating about 1x a week and ONLY on the ends or any part that is very dry. I also use the Curessence about 1x a week and also only on the ends and the very dry parts.Jeff has naturally wavy/curly hair like mine but it is not color treated and he actually likes the Cherry Almond Bark but hates the Deep Penetrating. I don't do well with Cherry Almond Bark and it does make my hair feel a little sticky.I think it just depends on a variety of factors and unfortunately a lot of times you just have to experiment till you find the best combination of products for your hair.Best wishes,Karen> Hi. Dear Kara,Hi! I have used Aveda's deep penetrating on and off now for the past three years! My hair is curly and medium/fine in texture. At one point in time, I reccomended this conditioner to everyone that I could get my hands on! It was my first Aveda product and I was thrilled with it! Although, I have since moved onto the likes of Paul Brown and most recently ARTec,... I still own a bottle of this stuff and I do use it occasionally! When I was using it frequently it worked like a charm. However, I have a tendency to use my regular conditioners as a leave it too (i use just a small dollop), but found that this deep pen. was too heavy for this type of use. So yes, it is a heavier conditioner than say ARTec Smoothing or Paul Brown Resurrect, but if you only use a bit and rinse real well, you shouldn't have a problem. For those of you that regularly use this conditioner,> could you please tell me if you use it everyday, and> if so, what type of hair you have?
