Last night after getting all of the pieces to gether, I tried my ARTec experiment. I washed with the smoothingshampoo, and rinsed. Then i used a combo of the M-Pac, and coconut oil under the hairdryer for about 1.5 hours. I rinsed and braided my hair using a combo of oil, smoothingconditioner, and smoothingserum as a leave in conditioner. This morning, I unbraided my hair, and finger combed it out to gloriously soft, shiny wavy hair. Although my hair is short and did it's afro thing, I still loved it. It felt heavenly.I did not wear it to work like this, but I'm working up to that point. I did blow dry it straight, but it still feels soft and shiny. There was very little breakage. For me ARTec products are a dream come true.As a black woman trying to grow the chemicals out of my hair, I got alot of support from this website and www.naturallycurly.com. I even met an e-pal to commiserate and cheer with to help us both get through the tough first few months of the relaxer withdrawal. We email each other with haircare tips and hairstyle ideas. Okay so she's been emailing them to me. I'm getting to the point where soon I'll be able to share info. We'd love for you to join in. If you'd like to then email me at my email address sugah_lump@hotmail.comSorry that ARTec didn't work out for the others that posted below, but keep trying, and I'm sure there is something out there that works best for you. As for me, I need the heaviness for my dry brittle kinky hair. This is my story and I'm sticking with it.Sug'
Dear Sug,Hi! I'm so gals that you had a wonderful experience with ARTec. It too has become my dream product and I use the conditioners like you do! I have loose Caucasion curls that I have been relaxing for the last two years. They didn't make my hair straight, just reduced the curl enough to make blowing easier. Anyway, I had the last relaxer last July, and i have been growing it all out since. It is tough! My hair is just below my chin and the roots are much curlier than the ends! Ugghh! Anyway-- I also get my hair highlighted, so it tends to be really dry, but that is where the Moisture-Pac has save me! I have been hearing a lot about coconut oil and have been wondering if it will work well on my ends, where it is double processed (relaxer and highlights)? Again, I am glad that you had a great experience with ARTec-- it really is great stuff for us gals with poofy, dry hair!Sherry> Last night after getting all of the pieces to gether,> I tried my ARTec experiment.
