I have natural curly hair, about shoulder length, and layered. I am having a real problem finding a product that will tame the frizz, give me body, and give me that soft feel. I hate products that feel all gunky and stiff. Please help. Thanks

Hi Kim,I have naturally curly hair (loose) that is just about two inches shorter than yours, and I can completely undersatnd about finding a good product that works. My other problem is that unllike most curly heads who claim to have course, wiry hair-- mine is soft and fine (its only a bit dry because I color), so it tends to get poofy and fly away. Anyway, here is my normal routine:ARTec Smoothing Shampoo followed by ARTec Smoothing Conditioner. Next, I use a small dollop of Jerri Rhedding Extra Laminating Drops followd by a mix of ARTec texture creme and Paul Mitchell Original Scuplting Foam. The Original Sculpting Foam is increadable-- it is loaded with conditioners and is very light, yet bodyfying. Please dont confuse the original foam with the Extra body Foam-- they are VERY different. These products are what I use normally. However, I have been testing the Paul Brown Hawaii line and have discovered another awesome mousse called 'Mousse Gel'-- the curl formation with this stuff is increadable! I think it will be a staple of mine soon.PS- as you can see, I favor Mousses over Gels. I think that Gels tend to weigh hair down and make curls look frumppy. Besides, if you use enough Mousse you get great culr formation PLUS the added benefit of condtioning agents in one! That's a deal to me!Hope this helps!SherryPSS- Visit the naturally curly website! I totally go with Sherry on this one! I have had the trouble of a life time finding products that work but I am so so happy with ARTec Smoothing shampoo and conditioner. When it isn't foggy out I don't even have to use a styling aid to calm my frizzies. Once in a while I use the gel from Aveda's new line. THere should be a review on it in this site, I totally blanked on the name!!! I'll post it later whne I remember!Regina

I have hair like your, but my problem is that I hate the feel of mousses and gels on my hair.I use a product like Bain de Terre Recovery Complex. You can get this same type of product in various names and they are all the same no matter what the name or price.I like soft curls not stiff ones.I also use Bain de Terre shampoos and conditioners.Does anyone have any other suggestions for frizz that is NOT a gel or mousse?
Kathy
