Hi William,as a hairdresser myself even though retired my hair is sending me crazy, here's the problem as much as I pamper my hair Iam desperatly trying to grow it long again soon as it hits jaw level the ends start to look thin & wispy but not split any advice will be most welcome.I often wonder if when a salon melted my hair off with Efasor( why they used this on red hair & I only wanted a darker brown beats me, they told me it was a prep-cleanser) I had 2nd degree scalp burn & had the lot cut to 3inches that was 2 years ago so I had Grat Lengths extensions which stressed my scalp even though they were micro strands I had them removed 2 months later as they dreaded up my hair so another disaster they were terrible to remove & took 5 hours of pulling so another migraine+another trim & a sore scalp, seems my hair has never been the same since or do you think none of the above could apply as many girls have grown good hair with extensions, my personal opinion is this type is potentially harmful & I should not have got caught up with the hype- you live & learn, but time is not on my side as I'm 37 & long for my Pre-Melted long hair, I use Fudge Dynamite Rebuilder/ K-Pack/ Joico Moisture/ Fit Ends/ Fudge 1 shot leave in treatment I could go on forever so I really do look after my hair but without all these products it is dry & tangly!!!! HELP Please.Simone.(C).:)

HELP Please.> Simone.(C).:)To Simone; Please try to get some Redken "PPT" and Climatress conditioner mix the PPT with it and heat in a microwave until warm but not hot and apply to the hair, cover with a plastic cap or trash bag, sit under a drier or wrap with a bath towel for at least an hour, remove the towel/bag and let cool, then rinse with as cool water as you can stand. Alternate the PPT with wheat germ oil(from the health food store) every third application. You should see an immediate improvement within just a couple of treatments. After all this talk of conditioning, be aware of 'over conditioning'. This will excessively 'soften' the hair shaft, and in the case of fine thin hair, will make it appear flat, and thin. This can actually weaken the strength of the hair. Alternate using shampoo and 'shampoo' with a light conditioner every other day instead of shampoo to help dry hair, and with oily hair lighten up on the conditioning routine and use a light detangler, instead of a heavy conditioner every other day. william
>To William,Thanks for that I will give Redken a try as I have'nt used PPT with Climatress for 2 years as I used to use PPt with citric acid (an old hairdressers stengthening method , sure you've heard of it anyway) followed by Climatress, I like your mix much better!!, soon as I can get to the warehouse I'll get the products & let you know, yes I've been so worried about my hair I could fall under the catogory of over treating!. THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PROMPT REPLY,( and I'm not yelling just grateful).Take Care,Simone.(C). :)To Simone;> Please try to get some Redken "PPT" and> Climatress conditioner mix the PPT with it and heat in> a microwave until warm but not hot and apply to the> hair, cover with a plastic cap or trash bag, sit under> a drier or wrap with a bath towel for at least an> hour, remove the towel/bag and let cool, then rinse> with as cool water as you can stand.
