If you know of techniques that teach how to create hairstyles of the 40's and 50's, please let me know the link to the site or name of the book. Thank you!!

I don't have an answer to your question, but if anyone else does, I'm interested too. I love 40's and 50's clothes and I'd really like to be able to do my hair in the styles of the era as well.

i have come across a number of sites that are dedicated to styles of the 40's-70's. i am not that great at teasing or setting my hair, so i haven't tried to recreate any styles and cannot vouch for them. also, i have found that the sites are light on instruction but heavy on photographs, so if you are knowledgeable about styling you could probably do it. a good place to start is marci's retro style. she has pretty comprehensive instructions on how to use rag curlers, set pin curls, marcel waves, etc. she also has a good links section that will get you to like-minded sites.the url is below.good luck!!! i would love to hear about any successes you may have.....j
