I'm looking to achieve a beige blonde shade on my dyed lt.blonde hair. I've used Cafe Au Lait in the past, and was considering a more beige shade. Would you recommend using Platinum Ice or Platinum Ice mixed with Cafe Au Lait? Thanks, Tara
Hi Tara!It may sound strange but your hair is a combination of 3 colors; red, yellow, and blue. These are the primary colors. Secondary colors are orange, green, and violet. If you look at the "wheel" a color oppositewill "negate" that color. This means if your hair is a orange color - bluewill make it a brown/black color. If you hair has a yellow tone, violetwill cancel it out. One of the most important elements of haircoloring isdetermining the hairs' "underlying pigmet" (the hairs' natural color.) Whenyou chose a color in a swatch book, your hair may not come out that colorbecause of the underlying pigment in your hair.Underlying color + Artificial color = Final resultLevels of Hair Color1=Black2=Very Dark Brown3=Dark Brown4=Brown5=Medium Brown6=Light Brown7=Dark Blonde8=Light Blonde9=Very Light Blonde10=Light Platium BlondeTherefore, the Ice Platinum (blue-green base) will cancel out some of thered/orange base within the Cafe Au Lait and may come close to a beige tonal value. However I would do a strand test on a lock of hairunderneath the most expose hair and go 2 parts Ice Platinum and one part Cafe Au Lait. Rinse it and dry it - if you like it proceed to the rest of the hair. If not, adjust the colorformula accordingly try another lock, check the results until you are satisfied. In your service,Mickhael> I'm looking to achieve a beige blonde shade on my dyed> lt.blonde hair.
