I have horribly damaged ends, but don't want to cut all my hair off, is there any type of conditioning treatment I can use to repair the damage? Also I colored my hair an auburn shade this year after being blonde for a few years & don't know what my actual shade is. How can I find out and if I decide to color it back to it's original shade will my hair turn green?
I recently had a stylist cut my hair. Everywhere she cut left me with very badly damaged ends. I looked for hours on the internet for a possible solution.(besides all the "miricle vitamins you can buy) I found one solution: On wet or damp hair apply canola oil. Let it sit for awhile or overnight if you wish. Then shampoo out. Don't rub into your scalp though or it will look really oily.I must say that it worked for me. My hair had a real sleek look to it. Not oily at all and you couldn't notice the damaged ends. Hope this helps!

Dawn, thanks so much for the tip on Canola oil, I will try this week! I did buy some conditioner today from my stylist that is made just for damaged hair, so hopefully between the 2, I'll get my hair back to normal!
