how to make a bun

I use two different buns. For my loose and fun bun, I pull my hair up with a scruntchy into a high pony tail. When I get to the last pull-through, I just pull through a small loop. With the rest of my hair, I twist it slightly, pull it around the circle of hair once and pull a small loop through the scruntchy in the back. You can tuck the fan of hair that remains or leave it like you see so many people doing. Add a few decorative hair prettys and voila!! It takes some practice and decently long hair.For my more professional look, it is more of a french twist secured with a medium size butterfly clip. You know how most people do the french twist up and put a really big butterfly clip around the entire thing? That always fell out on me, so I do the french twist by gathering my hair together at the base of my neck, twist the tail upward around and around making the twist grow from the base to near the top of your head. At the top, take the tail, curl it over toward the high side of the twist and then tuck the very end of the tail in the under side. Take the medium butterfly clip and secure at the base of the circle that the last twist creates. I ususally catch a little bit of both the high and low sides of the twist with the tail and it secures it nicely.I wish I could show you!! Sorry!!
