I am getting married in two months and I have to wear my hair up in a "Gibson Girl" style, yet my stylist ca't quite picture it. Can someone please tell me where to find a good picture of this?SARENA
That's how I wore my hair at my wedding!! Unfortunately, I don't know of a good image to show you on the web, but perhaps you can explain it to your stylist as a bun on top of your head, with the pulled-up hair *very* full around it.Best wishes on your wedding and marriage!

Follow the link below to the "Somewhere in Time" website. Jane Seymour wore a Gibson Girl hairstyle in this Victorian era film. The Gibson Girl hair-do is done by pulling all your hair into a pony tail at the crown of your head and then create a bun and/or a bun with tendrils of curls. The pony tail is fastened somewhat above the scalp, not tight to it. When the bun is made and pinned, all the hair you have pulled up, loosens up and creates volume. You may have to do some "dreaded" light back combing to help with the appearance of volume which "The Gibson Girl" style is all about. I hope this helps. Good luck for your wedding and the future.NeilRelated Link:"Somewhere In Time" website
