I have always had long straight hair. But recently I had some bangs cutt, I've never had them before. The only problem is they are way to short. I don't know how my long straight hair can compensate with my short bangs. I'm just looking for some tips that could help me out with my long straight hair looking so akward with my bangs...thanks
And unless you're talking ultra short, you can wear a headband. The shortness of the bangs will give your hair a "lift" yet they won't look like bangs. But, totally depending on the texture of your hair, you may need just a touch of hairspray to keep the bangs back. Also, wearing the hair back when it's wet will help keep the bangs in place a little better.
I have rear-end length straight hair with bangs. I've never been comfortable with my looks without bangs. I just don't think I look right without them. Anyway, I usually take up two small sections of my long hair from just behind my ears to the top of my head, separate them, cross one over the other, twist slightly and secure with tiny butterfly clips very close together. It adds poof to the top which goes with the bangs and it looks neat from behind to see the two long ends crossing over and flowing down. I just fluff up my bangs and voila!! You may have to pull at the hair which is before the clips to poof them to your desired level.
