Foam Hair curlers

I recently saw some young girls in indianapolis sporting some interesting curlers in a hotel. They looked like foam spikes. and the next day the girls had perfect ringletts. I wanted to know if anyone had seen these foam curlers and where to get them. I have tried Sally Beauty, and Target. No luck. I think they would look like long foam rods with a hole in one end. and when in the hair. They look like spikes sticking out in all directions.Thanx,Beth
