Sea water and hair

I have curly hair which is VERY hard to control, I've tried every type of hair product and none of them do anything. However, when I go to the beach and get my hair wet with sea water it looks amazing. The curls are perfectly defined and it is very easy to style any way I want even when it dries. I want a hair product that produced the same effect as sea water. I have tried soaking my hair in salt water, but it does nothing. Anyone know what is in the sea water that gives my hair such great control and what type of hair product I could use to get similar results?Thanks.
