QuoteReplyTopic: Hair color too dark and won't fade Posted: January 12 2000 at 5:22am
I have naturally dark brown hair that has been highlighted several times. I decided I wanted to gradually go back to my natural color so I had my hair dresser color it for me. She decided that she wanted to put a stain on it instead of permanent color because of the condition of my hair. I'm not sure if it was a demi or semi-permanent color, but anyway it is way too dark now. I have washed my hair about six times in three days to try to fade it and it won't do a thing. I even tried dishwashing liquid twice (that's what my hairdresser recommended to start the fading process) and it hasn't done a thing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use that won't make it brassy looking?

It didn't get it exactly the color that I wanted, but it did take a lot of the color out. Hope this helps!~k
