SHould I buy these supermarket sold hair products , I heard good things about them, or should I rather invest in some more expensive salon shampoos and conditioners?? Does anybody else here use Pantenes stuff and have good things to say?
It would of course be better to use salon shampoos as it has less buildup and less damaging.I use pantene hair tonic for greasy hair which works well for my oily hair.
Hello- I just wanted to say that another difference a lot of the time between salon and supermarket, is that supermarket brands a lot of times test on animals. It seems the more expensive shampoos make an effort to be cruelty free. I know that Pantene tests on animals. I hope this was of interest to you.
Well, expletive deleted, I like the Pantene clarifying shampoo. I knew that some of y'all didn't like Pantene, but I didn't know why. Poop. Got any suggestions for another good clarifying (get build-up off) shampoo that's NOT tested on animals (humans are OK)?RunningWild

All I can say is that there are a lot of silicones in Pantene-they can dry out your hair and make it brittle over time. I know-I used to use it. Others have wriiten the same. I think it's best to avoid silicones when possible.Holly
