something fun

My work environment is fairly serious but today I couldn`t hardly stop laughing. I was wearing this beautiful rhintone barrette ,shape like a butterfly, and has a sterling silver backing. The barrette holds good memories because the storekeeping that sold it to me search for this item thinking that I would be pleased to own it. He had the pleasure of placing it in my hair bringing back memories of his fondness when his wife had long hair.It is basically a rare item now and I am the only woman that had the pleasure of owning it and wearing it. It sat in a curio cabinet in a period where women stop buying barrettes so the owner put it away.
Anyways I normally wear it on special occassions but for personal reasons I was wearing it to work. The fun moment all started when I turned around to take something and a female manager had a glimpse of it. She said that she always wanted long hair and that the barrrette was so beautiful in my hair. She said that she always thought it would be fun to wear an Edwardian hairstyle and all of sudden two male co-workers pike up. ONe said that you have to grow your hair if you want long hair and laughed. The other one went further and started to think of hairstyles that might have suited my female co-worker if she would have had long hair. One male confessed that he once dyed his hair yellow with orange streaks and will bring in the pictures for me to see. It was so funny especially when this environment is not laid back. lol
